Not every neighbourhood fits every trip — here's what each one is good for.
Resorts hold the coast. Nearly all the beds in Belek belong to the strip of hotels and golf courses along the Mediterranean shore, so a stay here is a resort stay rather than a town-centre one, whatever the season. Course access decides most bookings.
Players wanting the shortest walk to a first tee take the seaward properties, since about a dozen courses line the same run of coast east of Antalya and the transfer between them is short. The European Tour week is the exception, when the courses and the hotels behind them fill together. The inland side is a different stay.
Belek sits inside the Serik district of Antalya Province, and rooms back from the water put you nearer the everyday town and further from the golf, which suits anyone here for the coast rather than the game. The whole strip lies in Pamphylia. Space is not scarce.
The resort was built for volume, so the choice is about position on the Mediterranean coast and about how far you want to be from Antalya, not about whether a bed exists at all.

What is the history of Belek?
The name of the region is older than the resort. Pamphylia is the historic name for this part of the Turkish coast, and Belek grew on it as a beach resort rather than out of an older town centre, which is why the built fabric reads newer than the ground under it. Golf drove the growth.
About a dozen courses were laid along the shore east of Antalya, and Turkey's principal tournament followed them as a European Tour stop, which fixed the reputation of the place around the game rather than around the Mediterranean alone. Its administrative standing changed as well. Before the Turkish local government reorganization of 2013 Belek held the rank of a town, a Belde, rather than the neighbourhood status it holds within the Serik district.
That was a change of status, nothing more. Belek sits in Antalya Province either way, and the reorganization altered the paperwork rather than the coastline, the courses, or the run of the European Tour week. The beach did not notice.
Arrivals still come for the same stretch of Mediterranean coast east of Antalya, and the golf still sets the shape of the year in Pamphylia.

Water sets the southern edge. Belek lies on the Mediterranean coast of Turkey about forty kilometres east of Antalya, inside the Serik district, on the run of shoreline that the historic region of Pamphylia covers. The sea is the boundary.
Everything else about the position is measured from Antalya, since the resort strip carries on east from the city along the same water and the Antalya Province limits contain all of it.
What is the climate of Belek?
Sun holds the calendar. Because the sea lies open to the south of Belek, the hot half of the year stretches long enough for the golf season and the beach season to overlap along this part of the Turkish coast. Winter stays workable.
Rain belongs to the cooler months, which is when the courses east of Antalya see play in comfort rather than in heat.
How do you get to Belek?
Antalya is the way in. Belek lies about forty kilometres east of Antalya along the Mediterranean coast, so almost every arrival reaches the resort through the city and then east across the Serik district. That final stretch is brief.
Once on the strip, the courses, the hotels, and the beach sit close enough together that moving around Belek is a matter of minutes rather than of crossing Antalya Province.
