Nahariyya's rooms fall into two groups, the ones facing the sea and the ones set back among the streets, and the difference between them is measured in a few minutes' walk rather than in any real distance. The beach decides the first group. Seafront addresses suit anyone here to swim, and they keep The Edge gallery and the museums within an easy walk of the sand.
Summer fills the seafront first. Inland streets hold the rest. Back from the shore the city thins into ordinary residential blocks, where the Zoo-Botanical Garden Nahariya and the road out toward Evron Quarry matter more than the sea view.
Beds are thinner there. A city of ten square kilometres does not ask much of anyone's legs, so the choice is about noise and view rather than about reaching the Museum of the History of the Oil Industry or Beit Liberman. The Western Galilee begins past the last blocks.
Anyone touring the Byzantine church in Nahariya and the country inland gains more from a car than from a room nearer the water. Northern District towns lie within reach.
