Zalău runs on county business more than on visitors, so the stock is small and practical, and a weekday can be harder to book than a weekend for exactly that reason. The Reformed Church stands close by. It marks one of the older religious traditions in the town.
Quieter streets lie out toward the Tuhutum Monument, where the traffic thins and parking stops being an argument, which suits anyone arriving by car. Șimleu Silvaniei is the other option.
