Flats and courtyards fill Koptëvo. Hotels are thin on this side of Moscow, so most visitors book toward the centre, though anyone whose reason for coming is Timiryazev Academy Park, the medical clinics or the university faculties in the district finds it quiet and well planted. The Golovinskie Ponds set the tone.
Streets around Mikhalkovo and Onezhskaya Street keep the greenery and the old estate walls, while the blocks toward Likhobory sit closer to the railway.

Water and an old estate lead. The Golovinskie Ponds sit beside Mikhalkovo, whose grounds keep three sets of entrance towers, a stone forecourt wall and two viewing pavilions, one standing in the park and the other at the water's edge. Rail and cloth mark the rest.
Likhobory railway depot holds on to its workshop building, the Yokish woollen manufactory left a water tower over its main factory block, and the Spiridon Trimiphuntskiy church serves the streets around it.

Cloth came first. The Yokish woollen manufactory left the main factory block and the water tower that rises over it, one of two such towers on the district's register alongside the one at Mikhalkovo station. Rail followed the mills.
Likhobory railway depot and its workshop building remain on the same list, and Bratcevo Station belongs to that stretch of railway ground. Housing filled the rest between 1930 and 1970. A monument to Zoya and Alexander Kosmodemyansky stands on the street that carries their names, and the Museum of Three Actors keeps a smaller cultural corner.
