The Australian Sailing Museum anchors the centre. It is the named institution closest to the core of Mandurah, and from the same ground the rest of the city's attractions are reachable: Castle Fun Park with its replica of Neuschwanstein Castle, Madora Bay Lookout, and Golden Bay's Ladder out along the coast. The centre itself is small enough to walk.
Most of what a visitor wants is inside it or a short drive from it, which is the practical argument for basing a Mandurah trip in this suburb rather than out in the canal estates. Golden Bay and Madora Bay both mean driving.
