What is the history of Rot?
Rot enters the documentary record in 1284, under the name Rode. That name points to a clearing made in the Lußhardt, and after it the record goes quiet, leaving the two churches to stand in for a written past the sources do not supply. St. Mauritius carries a saint's name.
