What is Djibouti Region known for?

Djibouti Region is known above all for holding the city of Djibouti, the national capital, inside a territory smaller than any of the other five regional administrative divisions of the country. Paperwork accounts for the rest. Formerly called Djibouti District, it works as the urban core of the Republic of Djibouti rather than as a broad rural hinterland, and the name it carries belongs to the city and to the country alike.

Where is Djibouti Region?

Djibouti Region is the smallest of the six regional administrative divisions of the country.
