The bay is the southern edge. La Bocca runs along the baie de Cannes between the Croix-des-Gardes quarter to the east and the commune of Mandelieu-la-Napoule to the west, with La Roquette-sur-Siagne, Mougins and Le Cannet along the north. A motorway cuts it in half.
The A8 crosses west to east through the middle and separates the two administrative quarters, La Bocca Nord and La Bocca Sud, joined at junction 41. Three stations serve it.

About Cannes La Bocca
What are the main landmarks in Cannes La Bocca?
One English clergyman built a château here. The château de La Bocca stood at 9 avenue Francis-Tonner, put up in 1854 for the Reverend Henry Belmont Syms to plans by the English architect Thomas Smith, and the villa and gardens are listed in the regional inventory of Cannes seaside heritage. A courtesan owned another.
Villa Primavera was built about 1890 in the pleasure garden of the villa Eliama and became the property of Liane de Pougy, princess Ghika, in the 1920s, sold in 1954 with the garden divided into lots in 1959. A singer owned the third. Maurice Chevalier acquired the domaine de La Louque at 105 avenue Maurice-Chevalier in 1925, also on the inventory, and a sculpture by Albert Féraud stands on the rond-point de l'Espace.

Seaside building is what the quarter's heritage records. The château de La Bocca went up in 1854 for the Reverend Henry Belmont Syms to plans by the English architect Thomas Smith, and it belongs to a survey of Cannes seaside heritage rather than to any older village record. Villas followed through the belle époque.
Villa Primavera was raised about 1890 inside the garden of the villa Eliama and passed in the 1920s to Liane de Pougy, princess Ghika, before being sold in 1954 with its garden divided in 1959. Entertainers bought in between the wars. Maurice Chevalier took the domaine de La Louque in 1925.
Its own history was written down late. A website devoted to La Bocca was set up in 2010 with Pierre Giuglaris, Pierre Ipert and André Seratore among the contributors, and in 2018 Caroline Tracanelli made a documentary, les mémoires boccassiennes, interviewing seventeen families of the quarter.
