What is the history of Birch Hill?
The estate came late. Building on the higher ground above South Hill Park in the 1970s turned what had been part of the civil parish of Easthampstead into a suburb of Bracknell with its own ward. South Hill Park itself is older, a Georgian and Victorian country house that now serves as an arts centre.
Easthampstead's parish has since been dissolved. Hanworth and Birch Hill share a ward in Bracknell Forest Council.
