Blairdardie is a planned build. Construction ran between the 1950s and the early 1960s, filling ground north of the River Clyde between Knightswood and Drumchapel, so the street pattern here dates from one continuous programme rather than centuries of accretion. The River Clyde runs to the south.
Garscadden, Old Drumchapel and High Knightswood took shape around it.
