Cawder Golf Club is the marker here. Its course keeps the older Cawder pronunciation of the district's name, and the Forth and Clyde Canal runs through on its way south-west toward Lambhill, giving the ground its one continuous public thread. The River Kelvin passes just north.

What is the history of Cadder?
Cadder's name travelled. A Glasgow council housing scheme built in the early 1950s took a version of it some 3 miles to the south-west, into the district of Lambhill along the same canal, and that scheme is generally pronounced Cawder. The older sound survives in Cadder itself, where Cawder Golf Club still carries it.
