What is the history of Kelvingrove?
Its edges were never fixed. Kelvingrove enters the record without a charter year, and the sources admit that its boundaries are not precisely defined, running roughly along Sauchiehall Street on the south, opposite Sandyford, and fading eastward into the Charing Cross area. The park and the gallery did the defining.
Kelvingrove Park to the north and the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum to the west gave the neighbourhood the two borders that hold.
