Pitic has no hotels of its own. The colonia's streets run to houses, walled yards, and the park at its centre, and the nearest rooms stand a few hundred metres south on the Bulevard Eusebio Kino corridor, past Ignacio Alatorre. That is where Hermosillo keeps its northern hotel strip.
Stay on the boulevard if you want a bed and this address in one trip, and stay in Hermosillo proper if you want a real choice of rooms.

What are the main landmarks in Pitic?
Pitic's landmark is its park. The Parque de la Colonia Pitic takes the open ground at the colonia's centre, with Rafael Campoy along the north edge, Ignacio Alatorre along the south, and José Gutiérrez down the eastern side. Two buildings stand on that ground rather than on a street corner.
The Parroquia Espíritu Santo is the colonia's parish church, and the small Kiosko del arte sits toward the southern end of the same enclosure. What a guidebook would list for the city, the cathedral and the state museums, lies well south of here in the centre of Hermosillo.
What is the history of Pitic?
Pitic's name is older than the colonia that wears it. The word is what Hermosillo went by before the city took its present one, and it was picked up again long afterwards for this residential grid well north of the old centre. No founding charter attaches to the colonia.
Its streets are named for people rather than for states or revolutionary dates, Rafael Campoy, Adolfo de la Huerta and Alfonso Iberri among them, a pattern the older blocks toward the centre do not share.
Where is Pitic?
Pitic lies in northern Hermosillo, between the Bulevard Eusebio Kino corridor to the south and Bulevard Ignacio Soto to the northeast, with Lomas Altas adjoining.
