What is the history of Las Cumbres?
Louis Martinz built it. The businessman developed Las Cumbres as a rural community in the 1950s, on high ground north of Panama City, and middle-class families filled the sectors that followed, Villa Campestre, El Lago, Las Cumbrecitas, Las Glorietas, San Andrés, Altavista, El Rocio, Las Lajas, Gonzalillo, Villa Grecia and Colonial Las Cumbres. Scientists, doctors, engineers and politicians were among those who settled.
