How do you get to Tingo María?
Everything here arrives by road. Tingo María sits at the centre of Leoncio Prado Province, and the province's traffic converges on its capital before continuing into the wider Huánuco Region. The sites are outside.
Reaching the cave of the owls or Huanacaure means a ride out of the town and a ride back, and neither sits within walking distance of the streets of Tingo María.
