Lohi Bher is a run of housing societies rather than one centre, so the choice is which of them. PWD Housing Society sits hard against the Islamabad Expressway, closest to the bus stops and to the shops that follow a main road, so it is the corner of Lohi Bher that works on foot. Pakistan Town and Korang Town lie west of it, quieter. Soan Garden sits furthest south.
Jinnah Garden sits east of the carriageway, and both of those outer societies suit you better with a car.

What are the main landmarks in Lohi Bher?
Lohi Bher lends its name to Lohi Bher Wildlife Park, which lies just outside the union council in Rawalpindi District. The park opened in 1992. It answers to the Punjab wildlife department rather than to Islamabad, and the way in is Loi Bher Wildlife Park Road.
Closer to the houses, the Islamabad Expressway carries the traffic, and beside it stands Lohi Bher railway station, a shut halt on the Karachi-Peshawar Railway Line.
What is the history of Lohi Bher?
Lohi Bher became Union Council No. 34 of Islamabad only with the boundary redrawing of 2022. Union Council Koral held it before. West of the houses the woodland carries the older record, and Chaklala, one stop up the railway, opened in 1879 in what was then forest with timber as its first trade.
Lohi Bher Wildlife Park came far later, planned in 1988 and laid out across 1,050 acres.

Lohi Bher lies along the Islamabad Expressway at the Rawalpindi edge of the capital, with reserve forest to the west and Jinnah Garden east of the road.
