What are the main landmarks in Deustu?
Bilbao's museum names dominate the register, the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum, the Itsasmuseum Bilbao and the Museo Athletic Club, none of them carrying the district's name. The Church of San Pedro de Deusto does, keeping the former title San Pedro de Deusto in use. Two more churches follow it, the Church of Nuestra Señora del Carmen, Bilbao and the Church of Inmaculada Concepción, Bilbao.

What is the history of Deustu?
Annexation came in 1925. Deustu began as an elizate and stayed a municipality in its own right until Bilbao absorbed it whole, a move made to expand the free land available to the city. The former name, San Pedro de Deusto, survives in the Church of San Pedro de Deusto.
The University of Deusto and the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of the Basque Country carry its second identity, the university district of Bilbao.
