What is the history of Vaise?
Vaise was its own commune. It belonged to the Rhône department until 24 March 1852, when annexation attached it to Lyon and placed it inside the 5th arrondissement. A second redrawing followed on 12 August 1964, when the 9th arrondissement was created and Vaise moved into it.
The Église de l'Observance stayed the one monument recorded through both changes, while the Saône and the plateau Duchère fixed a shape no boundary decree could alter.
