St Peter's Church serves the estate itself. Eastleigh Museum sits down in the town, and All Saints Eastleigh, the Church of the Resurrection, and St Francis Church Hall stand close enough that a single afternoon covers the lot without much walking between them. The parish churches are the landmarks.
Nothing here is built for crowds, and the woods along Boyatt Lane do more for a visitor than any monument.
What is the history of Boyatt Wood?
The name came from the trees. Boyatt Lane connects the estate to the village of Otterbourne, and the wooded ground on its southern side gave the area a label that local usage kept long after the houses arrived. A civil parish followed in 2021, carved from unparished Eastleigh.
That arrangement did not last. The parish was abolished in 2026 and merged into Eastleigh Town.
Where is Boyatt Wood?
Boyatt Lane threads south from the estate through the woods that named it, running on toward the village of Otterbourne while Eastleigh spreads immediately beyond.
