Holt Park has no hotel strip of its own. Rooms cluster in central Leeds, about six miles off, while anyone who wants to be near the Church of St John the Baptist or the green-belt paths beyond Adel does better looking to Cookridge and Tinshill. Neither choice adds much travel.
Drivers get easy kerbside parking on the estate roads and a faster run out past the Tinshill BT Tower into open country.

Holy Trinity Cookridge stands nearby. Smithy Hall and the Parish Hall carry the same older grain of building, and above all of it the Tinshill BT Tower marks the skyline for miles around.

Holt Park is a product of the 1970s, a medium-sized estate of low-rise housing laid out at the edge of the built-up city. The older names came first. Tinshill, Cookridge and Adel already stood on the map when the estate roads were cut between them, and the Church of St John the Baptist, the Parish Hall and Smithy Hall remain from that earlier fabric, with Holy Trinity Cookridge just beyond.
Where is Holt Park?
Six miles out from Leeds city centre, the estate meets the Leeds urban fringe, where green belt begins as the streets around Tinshill and Adel end.
