Strathmartine Parish Church and Churchyard sits on Strathmartine Road, and the churchyard is the only burial ground the Ardler list carries.
What is the history of Ardler?
Downfield Golf Club held this land first, and the housing scheme that replaced it was completed in the late 1960s with six 17-storey blocks forming its northern part. The towers did not last. They came down between 1995 and 2007 under a regeneration programme, and their removal is the single largest change the record attaches to Ardler since the scheme was built.
Strathmartine Parish Church and Churchyard on Strathmartine Road keeps the older name in use.
