A traveller working the east end of Glasgow books a central room and comes out to Haghill for an hour, since the housing here is tenements, former council houses and later-built homes rather than anything with a reception desk.

What is the history of Haghill?
Haghill has no charter to point to. Its fabric records instead: tenements first, then former council houses, then a handful of later-built homes filling the gaps in an east-end neighbourhood north of the River Clyde. The ward line moved in 2017.
A boundary re-assessment that year put Haghill inside the Dennistoun ward of Glasgow City Council, after a decade in the East Centre ward, and the three churches on Alexandra Parade, Duke Street and Meadow Street outlasted both arrangements.
Where is Haghill?
Alexandra Park closes Haghill to the north, Carntyne to the east, Dennistoun west and Parkhead south, all north of the River Clyde. This is east-end ground.
