The address is new. Ramat Hanasi was laid out in 2003, a late addition to Haifa's western flank, on the plateau that interrupts the Carmel's fall toward the sea. Neve David next door carries the older name.
Derech HaYam gave the new streets their link, running between the entrance to Haifa and Carmel Center on the ridge, and the neighbourhood grew along its slopes. Tel Shikmona, older than all of it, lies at the shore.
