The museums run deep here. Trieste Cathedral and the Civico museo del Castello di San Giusto mark one end, the Roman Theatre of Trieste and the Arco di Riccardo record the ancient city, and the Revoltella Museum holds the art. Saint Spyridon Church, the Greek Orthodox Church of San Nicolò dei Greci and Sant'Antonio Taumaturgo give the quarter three congregations.

Rome came first. The Roman Theatre of Trieste, the Arco di Riccardo and the finds kept at the Antiquarium di via Donota mark the ancient layer under the quarter, joined by a Paleochristian basilica from the centuries after. Two names sit on the same ground: Città Nuova and Borgo Teresiano.
Later centuries left their own marks. Kleines Berlin and the Museo del Risorgimento e sacrario di Oberdan keep that record, and the Monument of Elisabeth of Austria stands among the quarter's memorials.
