The historic core of Nasche gathers the borgate of Binelle, Cascine, Molini, Noce and Ciasìn down at the level of the torrent. Maccagno, which locals call il Dazio, marks where the territory begins coming out from the city and was once the boundary of the comune of Genoa. Terraced fields and orchards take up most of the rest.

What is the history of Nasche?
The place was called Sestiere Lungo in antiquity, then Linasca, and took the name Nasche in the middle ages. Nasche is the plural of nasca, the local word for Inula viscosa, a composite that grows in stony ground and flowers golden yellow in September. The ground around Monte Comune, on the slopes of Monte Ratti where the parish church now stands, was thick with it.
