Founded as a town in 1690, Rozwadów held that standing until 1973, when it was incorporated into Stalowa Wola and became a district of the younger industrial city beside it. A Jewish shtetl grew here. Its community kept close ties with Tarnobrzeg, Ulanów, Mielec and Dzików, and it was destroyed in the Holocaust.
