West Slope keeps almost no lodging. The few beds here stand along SW Canyon Road, and Beaverton holds the larger choice a few minutes west, while the Sunset Highway runs east through the Tualatin Mountains into Portland. Raleigh Hills and Cedar Hills lie the other way.

About West Slope
What are the main landmarks in West Slope?
West Slope has no museum or monument, and its landmarks are parks and streets. West Slope Park covers three-quarters of an acre off SW 73rd Avenue, with a playground, picnic tables and a short paved path. Reservoir Park lies west of it on SW Inglewood Street.
Both belong to the Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District, the special district that maintains parks across unincorporated Washington County and Beaverton alike. The rest is street and water. SW Canyon Road crosses on the diagonal, SW Walker Road runs through the western blocks, and wooded draws carry Golf Creek and Hall Creek down toward the Tualatin Valley.
What is the history of West Slope?
West Slope built its own institutions before any city claimed the ground. The Century Club for Women founded the West Slope Community Library in 1950, and it entered the Washington County library cooperative in May 1976. Roads came first, though.
The Wolf Creek Highway was pushed along the northern edge through the Depression years and completed in 1949, three years after the state renamed it the Sunset Highway. Annexation was the piece that never landed: Beaverton and the county agreed a plan in 2004 that would have brought West Slope inside the city by 2010, and it was dropped.
