Not every neighbourhood fits every trip — here's what each one is good for.
Uccle is large by Brussels standards. Nearly twenty-three square kilometres of it stretch between the City of Brussels, Forest, Ixelles and Watermael-Boitsfort on one side and Drogenbos, Linkebeek and Sint-Genesius-Rode on the other. That scale changes the calculation.
A room at the Ixelles end and a room out by Sint-Genesius-Rode are not variations on the same stay, and the walk between them is not a walk anyone makes twice. The Van Buuren Museum & Gardens is the fixed point most stays orient on. Two kinds of ground divide the commune.
Toward Ixelles and the City of Brussels the streets fill in and beds are easier to come by, and the Horta Museum, the Halle Gate Museum and the Meunier Museum all fall within a modest reach from there. The Flemish edge is quieter. Out at the Drogenbos, Linkebeek and Sint-Genesius-Rode boundary the pattern loosens, and rooms are genuinely scarce rather than merely fewer.
Both French and Dutch are official in Uccle, and travellers who care about the National Museum of the Resistance, Hankar House or Sint-Sebastiaanskerk should check which side of the commune each falls on. Watermael-Boitsfort borders the same stretch and offers a third direction to look in.

Temperate weather covers the whole of Uccle. The commune is small enough that the conditions over Drogenbos and Linkebeek are the conditions over the Ixelles boundary, with no corner meaningfully different from another. Grey outweighs cold.
Rain spreads across the calendar rather than gathering in one season, and summer warmth stays moderate across the northern-hemisphere band the Brussels-Capital Region belongs to.

Crossing from the Ixelles side to the Sint-Genesius-Rode side takes real time, and choosing the wrong end of Uccle costs more of it than choosing the wrong street ever would. French and Dutch both apply.
