What is the history of Següencoma?
La Paz was founded in 1548 under the name Nuestra Señora de La Paz, and the southern districts, Següencoma among them, sit well away from that first core. Government followed the city. The seat of government stands in La Paz while Sucre holds the constitutional capital and the Supreme Court, and the built-up area reaches the neighbouring city of El Alto.
The department around it carries the same name.
