What is the history of L'Amoreaux?
Three municipal skins in two centuries. Josue L'Amoreaux, born in 1738 and dead in 1834, was a French Huguenot loyalist who settled the ground that carries his surname. Agincourt claimed it first.
The land formed part of that town before the amalgamation of municipalities made it a neighbourhood of the former city of Scarborough, and Scarborough in turn folded into Toronto with the amalgamation of 1998.
