Bordj el Kiffan and Bab Ezzouar, both on the run in from Algiers, put a wider pick of rooms within a short drive west of Boudouaou. Inland the ground climbs toward Blida and Tizi Ouzou, far enough that either one makes sense as a separate stop rather than as a base for this coast. Béjaïa is a different trip altogether, far along the same shore to the east. Nothing on this coast is more than a short drive from the next thing, so the base matters less than the direction of travel out of it.

Reverting to the local form was ordinary practice across Algeria once the colonial period closed, and for a town with no fortress and no cathedral to argue about, that change is the sharpest historical marker the record carries. West, Bab Ezzouar and Bordj el Kiffan mark the approach to the capital. Béjaïa sits far east along the same shore.
What is the climate of Boudouaou?
The Mediterranean Sea does the work here. Water on the northern side keeps the swing between the hot and cool halves of the year narrower at Boudouaou than it is on the ground inland toward Blida, where the same season runs harder in both directions. Rain falls in the cooler months.
Dry heat holds through the long summer, and the sea breeze off the Algiers coast is the thing that makes the middle of the day workable on the shore.
How do you get to Boudouaou?
Arrivals come through Algiers. The capital is the transport point for this whole stretch of coast, and the run east from it passes Bab Ezzouar and then Bordj el Kiffan before the coast opens out toward Boudouaou. Going on east, the same corridor carries traffic to Boumerdès and eventually to Béjaïa.
Inland routes climb to Tizi Ouzou. The whole distance from the capital is short enough to make the town an easy run out of Algiers and an awkward one to reach without a vehicle.
