What are the main landmarks in Ciudad Lineal?
The Centro Deportivo Municipal Concepción, a sports centre, stands in Ciudad Lineal. Of Arturo Soria's linear city only a few original chalets survive. The auditorio El Calero stands in the central park of the same name, where the district held its 14th summer film festival in 2010.

What is the history of Ciudad Lineal?
The district takes its name from Arturo Soria's linear city of 1886: a long town strung along a tram line, with a house and garden for each family. Soria founded the Compañía Madrileña de Urbanización in 1894, the railway link opened in 1898, and the trams went electric in 1908. Only one segment was built.
The First World War crisis, Soria's death and the Civil War ended the project, which later inspired Le Corbusier.
