Cruise Ports (Ocean & River)

A cruise port is judged by what a few hours can reach: the walk from the berth counts for more than the size of the city behind it. Look at where ships tie up, then at what stands inside that radius.

Common questions

Is it worth staying a night in a cruise port?

Often more than the call allows. Ships arrive and leave inside a working day, so evenings and early mornings belong to the town rather than the terminal. A night either side turns a stop into a destination, and it takes the tender queue out of the schedule.
