What is the history of Verduron?
Verduron grew as a hillside hamlet beyond the old village of Saint-Antoine, on the far edge of Marseille. Farms once worked the land. Over the twentieth century large housing estates rose across these outer quarters at La Castellane, Plan d'Aou, and La Bricarde, while Armenian families who settled at Verduron built the église Saint-Garabed.
Upper and lower Verduron kept their names.
