About Villazzano
What are the main landmarks in Villazzano?
Villazzano's medieval village gathers round Piazza Nicolini, at about 340 metres. Aristocratic villas came in the 17th and 18th centuries. West of the square, the Villa de Mersi has one of the largest public parks in Trento, a rare Italian garden on a steep slope, with lavender beds, a fountain ringed by cypresses and paths lined with red roses.
Villa De Carli's garden lies east. Saint Bartholomew church, Madonna Bianca church and the Sacred Heart of Jesus church stand in the district, and the village has its own theatre.

Villazzano is of clear medieval origin and was a municipality in its own right until 1926; it is now a frazione and the ninth administrative district of Trento. Its parish church is Saint Stephen's. The village has been twinned with Znojmo since 1996.
