What is the history of Roppongi?
Two complexes reshaped the district. Roppongi Hills gave Minato an upscale commercial and residential development, and the night club scene around it drew both local crowds and visitors from abroad into the streets below. Several foreign embassies stand in or near the district, and much of the nightlife is geared toward foreigners.
Older ground remains at Kikuchi House (Motoazabu) and the Okura Museum of Art.
