What is the history of Puerto Juárez?
Puerto Juárez stood before Cancún did. It was the first settlement of the area, and it was recognised as a separate place from 1960 until 1990, when that status was abolished and the shore was incorporated as one of Cancún's districts. Thirty years of separate standing closed with that merger.
