The Holy Spirit church in Szczecin, the Saint Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr Church in Szczecin and the Sanktuarium Matki Bożej Fatimskiej w Szczecinie are all entered against Dąbie, and the Pomnik Niepodległości stands with them on the same register. Then the list turns domestic.

What is the history of Dąbie?

Dąbie was a town before it was a neighbourhood. Szczecin took it in, and what survives of the independent municipality is the set of buildings the heritage register still lists against the name, from the Holy Spirit church in Szczecin down to Dom KAROLAKÓW and a Lodownia. Its year of town rights went unrecorded.

The Płonia and Dąbie Lake are the water the old town grew against, and the Oder kept it at a remove from the Szczecin Old Town and Middle Town on the far bank.
