What is the history of Segeltorp?
The name comes from an old farm. Segeltorps gård gave its name to the ground before the houses came, and as Huddinge filled out toward the capital through the twentieth century the slopes of north-western Huddinge were built up into the residential streets that make Segeltorp. The church followed the people.
Segeltorps kyrka rose to serve the growing parish, Vårfrukyrkan joined it, and the quarter settled into Huddinge kommun as one of the suburban additions of eastern Sweden.
