Dniprovskyi Raion divides into mill estates and eight outlying settlements. The estates along Prospekt Tekstylnykiv and Perekopska Street went up with the Kherson Cotton Combine and carry ground-floor shops, so a visitor with business here books in the Kherson centre and drives out for the day. Beryslavske Shose leaves the raion past the main building of Kherson National Technical University.
Beds are scarce past Zelenivka. Naddniprianske and Antonivka are settlement ground on the right bank of the Dnipro, and any room there is a private arrangement.

What are the main landmarks in Dniprovskyi Raion?
Dniprovskyi Raion counts a gunboat among its monuments. Пам'ятник морякам Дунайської флотилії is the Danube Flotilla's own armoured boat 301, sunk off Antonivka in 1941, raised from the Dnipro by Kherson divers in 1976, and set on a rubble-stone plinth in 1980. Kindiyka holds the older building. Its Church of the Nativity of the Theotokos was laid down on 30 May 1899 to a design by Anton Svaryk, then chief city architect of Kherson, and opened in November 1900.
Ploshcha Chornovola took Vyacheslav Chornovil's name in 2011, and a granite marker cut with the state arms went up on it that August.
What is the history of Dniprovskyi Raion?
Dniprovskyi Raion was created in 1965, but the mill that shaped it came first. Work on the Kherson Cotton Combine began in 1952, the first stage went into production in 1961 and the second in 1964, and Prospekt Tekstylnykiv took shape across the same decades. Antonivka appears in the record on 2 July 1786 under the name Sloboda Shyroka, and Kindiyka was still Kindiiski khutory until 1917, joining the Antonivka settlement council in 1963.
The Antonivsky Bridge came later. It opened across the Dnipro on 24 December 1985, stood on 31 piers, and was destroyed in November 2022.
