Dardania keeps few rooms of its own, so most visitors to Pristina book beds in the centre and walk out here. Sheshi Nëna Terezë lies about 1.3 km north-east, and the Cathedral of Saint Mother Teresa in Pristina stands just across Bulevardi Bill Klinton, outside the district. What Dardania gives you instead is the weekday city, with kindergartens, schools, and shops set between the slabs and the Kurrizi deck as the piece everyone crosses.
Rruga Idriz Gjilani runs under it. You would stay here to live in Pristina rather than to tour it.

What are the main landmarks in Dardania?
Dardania's landmark is the Kurrizi, a bent row of blocks finished in 1986 whose first floor carries a public deck over a street and a covered bazaar. Nine tall blocks line one side of it and six lower ones the other, with 494 flats above the shops. A city clock marks the bazaar door.
On Rruga Sadik Bekteshi stands something much older, the Biblioteka Komunale Hivzi Sylejmani, a single-storey merchant's house of 1930 that has held the municipal library since 1947. A bronze Bill Clinton faces the boulevard named for him.
What is the history of Dardania?
Dardania held private houses in 1946, on the rim of a smaller Pristina grown without a plan. The city plan of 1962, drawn under the architect Bashkim Fehmiu, set three new quarters on that ground, to be raised as modernist estates of up to fifteen storeys. A competition for the triangle followed in 1972, the Zagreb office APZ Plan won it, and building began in 1974.
Jakup Bunjaku of the newspaper Rilindja put the name into print. He chose it for a pear. Through the 1990s, with Albanians shut out of the state institutions, the cafes under the Kurrizi deck carried a parallel social life Pristina still recounts.
