A stay on the Brasschaat side sits nearer the modernist pair on the Frilinglei and the workers' houses at Bredabaan 233.

The quarter arrived as a plan, not as a village that spread. Its ground lay from the beginning across two municipalities, Ekeren and Brasschaat, and the Kapelsesteenweg has marked the boundary between the two halves of Sint-Mariaburg ever since. Building filled in around that road.
