East of the crossing, Yonge Street runs up towards Briar Hill Avenue, and rooms on that side put a guest inside the working core of Midtown Toronto rather than out at its edge.
Avenue Road, Elmsthorpe Avenue and Frobisher Avenue mark the western limit, past which the neighbourhood name stops and the rest of Toronto begins.
