Beiertheim, Karlsruhe — Area Guide & Where to Stay

Beiertheim and Bulach sit either side of the Alb, the paired halves of a Karlsruhe district running from Ebertstraße to Hofgut Scheibenhardt.

About Beiertheim

Where to stay in Beiertheim

Not every neighbourhood fits every trip — here's what each one is good for.

The Alb splits the choice in two. Beiertheim lies on one bank and Bulach on the other, two formerly independent places joined as Beiertheim-Bulach, a district bounded by Ebertstraße, Hofgut Scheibenhardt, Oberreut and Weiherfeld-Dammerstock. St. Cyriakus is the one listed building.

It suits you if a quiet address on either bank of the Alb reads better than a room among the sights of Karlsruhe.

About Beiertheim

What are the main landmarks in Beiertheim?

One building carries the list. St. Cyriakus is the sole registered landmark across the whole of Beiertheim-Bulach, which leaves both halves of the district, the Beiertheim side and the Bulach side of the Alb, without a museum or a monument between them. The rest is boundary.

Ebertstraße, Hofgut Scheibenhardt, Oberreut and Weiherfeld-Dammerstock mark the edges, and it is those neighbours rather than any sight inside the district that fix where it sits in Karlsruhe.

What is the history of Beiertheim?

Two places came before the district. Beiertheim and Bulach were independent of each other until they were joined into a single unit, and the Alb still runs between them as the line that once divided two separate places. The register gives that union no year.

What survives of that older arrangement is the pair of names in Beiertheim-Bulach and the register entry for St. Cyriakus, with Ebertstraße, Hofgut Scheibenhardt, Oberreut and Weiherfeld-Dammerstock marking the ground the two of them grew into.

Where is Beiertheim?

The Alb divides Beiertheim from Bulach, with Ebertstraße, Hofgut Scheibenhardt, Oberreut and Weiherfeld-Dammerstock around the edges.
