Beds cluster on the city-centre side of that junction rather than in Oststadt itself, where the streets between the Lutherkirche and the Seilerhäuschen stay residential and the room supply is thin. Karlsruhe carries the choice. It suits you if you want a quiet address within walking distance of the centre, with Durlach reachable at the other end of the district.

What are the main landmarks in Oststadt?
Three entries carry the district. The Lutherkirche is the church of the group, listed with the Wilhelm-Lübke-Denkmal and the Seilerhäuschen in a quarter whose recorded heritage stays domestic in scale rather than monumental. None of the three is a crowd-puller.
What the list gives instead is the ordinary texture of a quarter built out beyond the Durlacher Tor.

Karlsruhe's east side wrote little of itself down. No founding year is registered for Oststadt, and what survives of its past sits in three named entries rather than in any dated charter or document. The Lutherkirche is the largest of them.
Both the Wilhelm-Lübke-Denkmal and the Seilerhäuschen stand east of the Durlacher Tor, the point at which Karlsruhe's city centre stops and the ground running out to Durlach begins.
