The railway is the southern boundary. Damm lies north of the Würzburg to Aschaffenburg to Frankfurt line in the northeastern part of the city area, and the Aschaff is its largest watercourse. Strietwald adjoins along the water.
The boundary with it runs along the Aschaff, the Habichtstraße, the Steinbacher Straße and the Grundweg, and beyond the Stadtteil lie the commune of Glattbach and the market town of Goldbach. Fahrbachsiedlung belongs to it as well.

About Damm
What are the main landmarks in Damm?
Mills are what the streams left. Twelve of them stood on the Aschaff and the Glattbach, six of those within the Damm commune area, and the Herrenmühle is already named in a donation of 1182. The parish tells the founding date.
Damm's tithe district was taken over by the new Aschaffenburg parish of St. Agatha about 1170, having belonged to Unsere Liebe Frau before that. A nickname survives. Dammers were teased as Hutschen, meaning tadpoles, in a local rhyme about wearing them under their shirts.
What is the history of Damm?
Damm must have formed around 1150. The settlement appears at about that date, and its tithe district was transferred about 1170 from the Aschaffenburg parish of Unsere Liebe Frau to the new parish of St. Agatha. Water drove its economy.
Twelve mills stood on the Aschaff and the Glattbach with six of them inside the Damm commune area, and the Herrenmühle is recorded in a donation as early as 1182. Two gemarkungen make it up. The Stadtteil consists of part of the Damm Gemarkung and part of the Aschaffenburg one, with the Fahrbachsiedlung counted in.
Neighbours are outside the city. Glattbach as a commune and Goldbach as a market town border it, while Strietwald is the Aschaffenburg Stadtteil on the other side of the Aschaff.

Damm lies in the northeastern part of Aschaffenburg north of the Würzburg to Frankfurt am Main railway, bounded from Strietwald by the Aschaff, the Habichtstraße, the Steinbacher Straße and the Grundweg, and adjoining Glattbach and Goldbach.
