What is the history of Voslapp?
It was founded and incorporated in the same year. Voslapp was created in 1938 and the ground came to the city of Wilhelmshaven at that founding, which is unusually simple for a Stadtteil. A shipyard was the reason.
The Kriegsmarinewerft needed housing for its workers, and Voslapp was built as a model National Socialist workers' town to supply it. One company did the building. The JADE housing company was founded specially for the task and put the town up on diked land at the west bank of the Jadebusen.
Its boundaries follow engineering. Voslapper Groden and Rüstersieler Groden lie north and east, Sengwarden west, Fedderwardergroden along the Schlafdeich and Rüstersiel across the Niedersachsendamm to the south.
