Alfalfa puts a visitor inside the Casco Antiguo rather than beside it, with Seville Cathedral, the Iglesia del Divino Salvador and the Museo del Baile Flamenco all standing within the same walkable block of streets. Santa Cruz adjoins it to the south, and El Arenal does the same. Museo closes the western side.
Anyone who would rather sleep at the northern edge of the quarter can take a room toward Encarnación-Regina, which borders Alfalfa on that side and belongs to the same old centre.

What are the main landmarks in Alfalfa?
Seville Cathedral anchors the list. Alfalfa's register runs long after that: the Iglesia del Divino Salvador, the Archbishop's Palace, the Iglesia de Santa María la Blanca and the Iglesia de San Esteban all appear under the quarter. Museums and houses fill the rest, among them the Museo del Baile Flamenco, the Casa de Murillo and the Antiguo Hospital de Venerables Sacerdotes.

The Casco Antiguo is the frame. Alfalfa belongs to the historical centre of Seville, and the houses of religion the register puts inside it, the Monastery of San Leandro of Seville, the Convento de Madre de Dios and the Convento de las Teresas, carry the quarter's age without dating it. No founding year is attached to Alfalfa itself.
