About Las Tres Torres
What are the main landmarks in Las Tres Torres?
Casa Muley Afid, built in 1914 by Josep Puig i Cadafalch for Sultan Abd al-Hafid of Morocco, is now the Mexican consulate. The College of Saint Teresa-Ganduxer, begun in 1887, is one of Antoni Gaudí's early works. RCD Espanyol played at the Sarrià Stadium here from 1923 until 1997, when it was pulled down; it hosted matches of the 1982 World Cup and the 1992 Olympics.

What is the history of Las Tres Torres?
The ground lay open between the villages of Sarrià and Sant Gervasi de Cassoles, taking in the hamlet of Gironella and the Nena Casas estate. Most of it belonged to Sarrià until that town joined Barcelona in 1921. Between 1901 and 1903 Climent Mas and the Romaní brothers built three grand houses, designed by Bonaventura Conill, and the towers gave the barri its name.
One still stands. A station on the Sarrià railway followed, and the line went underground in 1952.
Where is Las Tres Torres?
Las Tres Torres covers 0.8 square kilometres. Its limits run along the Via Augusta, the streets of Doctor Carulla and Ganduxer, the Avinguda Diagonal, the Avinguda de Sarrià, and the Passeig de Manuel Girona. The Via Augusta, laid over the old railway, splits it in two.
The oldest core lies around the market, on Carrer dels Vergós and Carrer de les Escoles Pies.
