What are the main landmarks in Eixample?

The Mercado de Colón anchors the list. Around it Eixample gathers the Plaza de Toros de Valencia, the Basilica of Sant Vicent Ferrer, the Convent de Sant Josep and the Church of Saint Andrew the Apostle, along with the whole railway group at the Estació del Nord, rail yard, warehouses and carriage workshop. What is the history of Eixample?
