What are the main landmarks in Eixample?
The Mercado de Colón anchors the list. Around it Eixample gathers the Plaza de Toros de Valencia, the Basilica of Sant Vicent Ferrer, the Convent de Sant Josep and the Church of Saint Andrew the Apostle, along with the whole railway group at the Estació del Nord, rail yard, warehouses and carriage workshop. Russafa keeps its own listed core.

What is the history of Eixample?
This quarter of Valencia answers to two names. Eixample is also the Ensanche, and it fills the space between the Old City, Extramurs, El Pla del Real, Camins al Grau and Quatre Carreres, a belt of Valencia laid out beyond the Old City boundary. Russafa keeps an older core.
